Job Summary

The Data Governance Analyst implements and administers data governance, information governance, and records management policies across enterprise systems and platforms. This role manages metadata in data catalogs, ensures data quality and lineage, applies retention labels and access policies, supports legal holds and eDiscovery, and ensures compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. Scope includes Oracle RDBMS, Informatica PowerCenter, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, SaaS platforms, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, CLM and Legal systems, business applications, file shares, archives, and backups.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement governance policies across enterprise systems.
  2. Manage metadata in catalogs and ensure lineage accuracy.
  3. Apply retention labels and sensitivity policies in Microsoft 365.
  4. Maintain records schedules compliant with laws and regulations.
  5. Coordinate with IT and Security for electronic records management.

Required Qualifications

  4. Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, Informatica PowerCenter, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Databricks.

  7. Understanding of data classification, retention, and privacy requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Certification in Records and Information Management (CRM, IGP, CIP).
  2. Advanced Microsoft Purview or eDiscovery certifications.
  3. Experience in utility, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors.
  4. Knowledge of privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, BCSI, CEII).
  5. Familiarity with NERC-CIP or other regulatory compliance requirements.
  6. Experience with data lineage and catalog integration.
  7. Understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM).
  8. Strong analytical and communication skills for policy translation and training.
  9. Ability to independently manage governance domains or repositories.
  10. Project coordination and problem-solving skills.
