JOB DESCRIPTION

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

The Data Engineer-Junior will support future Defense & Intelligence Programs for SOCPAC at CampSmith, Hawaii. This role has an anticipated start date of late May 2026.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Develop and maintain basic ETL/ELT pipelines to support mission-critical analytics.
  • Assist in integrating, cleaning, and validating data from structured and unstructured sources.
  • Contribute to data modeling, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Foundational experience with Python, SQL, or similar scripting languages.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or similar distributed data tools (academic/project experience accepted).


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Clearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of related experience (internship or academic project experience accepted).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications: None required; cloud foundational certifications preferred.
  • Role requirements: On-site 5 days.
  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
