About the Role:

As a CBRE PMO Datacenter Technology Sr Portfolio Manager within the Global Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will lead the technology gap assessment, architectural transformation, and workflow automation strategy for a rapidly expanding global data center construction portfolio.

Serving as both a strategic technologist and execution lead, you will manage the end-to-end (concept to rollout) development of business-critical, no-code/low-code (Quickbase) applications and integrated platform architectures.In this role, you will bridge high-level operational requirements with enterprise technology execution-driving end-to-end (E2E) workflow automation, embedding enterprise AI capabilities, and interfacing with client data teams to establish secure pipelines to enterprise data warehouses. You will champion tool adoption, governance, and scaling across 5 global regions and more than 300 active users.

This job is part of the Client Consulting function. They are responsible for Advisory services in relation to real estate operations and investments.
What You'll Do:
  • End-to-End Application Development: Design, build, test, and deploy custom Quickbase and low-code/no-code applications for business-critical workflows, following industry best practices from concept through full regional rollout.
  • Change Management, Training & Regional Rollout: Develop workflow diagrams (e.g., in Lucidchart), create user training materials, host office hours, and execute adoption strategies to successfully transition >300 users across 5 operating regions to automated tools.
  • Requirements, Sprints & UAT Governance: Gather business and functional requirements, author Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), manage dev schedules/sprints, build UAT staging environments, create test scripts, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Data Warehousing & System Integration: Interface directly with client integration teams to establish continuous, high-throughput data streaming pipelines connecting low-code applications and PMO modules to enterprise data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery), ensuring full alignment with corporate security and DLP policies.
  • Enterprise AI & Cognitive Tool Integration: Operationalize enterprise AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities within PMO platforms to support agentic workflow automation, dynamic document parsing, predictive risk/schedule modeling, automated compliance checks, and natural language user interactions.
  • E2E Automation & Workflow Orchestration: Drive the automation of cross-functional workflows spanning the entire project lifecycle-from demand forecasting and programmatic intake to scope development, gate approvals, procurement, field execution, and asset closeout.
  • Technology & Data Architecture Strategy: Perform comprehensive technology gap assessments, recommend data architecture updates, and lead the technical evaluation and selection process for new tools and platforms as the portfolio scales.
  • Deliver strategies with assigned clients. Assists with local portfolio strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic portfolio planning with stakeholders.
  • Monitor organizational performance and reports on data collected.
  • Evaluate space rationalization for clients and provides solutions as needed.
  • Develop strategies to reduce costs for clients.
  • Assist with consolidation reviews and transactions with clients.
  • Present reports and studies on location, labor, and retail on properties.
  • Gain comprehension of the client's business. Ensure that property and location strategies align with the business strategic direction.
  • Contribute commercial and financial knowledge during strategy development and presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:
Low-Code Platform Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience designing, building, and scaling business workflows and custom applications using Quickbase or comparable low-code/no-code environments.
E2E Automation & Architectural Acumen: Proven experience conducting technology gap assessments, designing unified platform architectures, and streamlining manual operational steps into automated, touchless digital processes.
Enterprise AI & Innovation Mindset: Practical understanding of integrating enterprise LLMs, agentic automation, predictive analytics, and natural language interfaces into operational business systems to drive efficiency and eliminate administrative fatigue.
Full Lifecycle Software Delivery: Strong track record managing the complete software delivery lifecycle-from initial scope discovery and BRD creation to sprint management, testing script development, UAT execution, and production release.
Data Pipeline & Governance Knowledge: Experience collaborating with client data engineering teams to connect platform schemas with central data warehouses, cloud analytics platforms, and enterprise directories.
Scale & Change Leadership: Demonstrated success driving tool adoption, training, and change management programs across multi-regional operating footprints with matrixed stakeholder groups (>300 users).
• Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Quickbase App Builder/Developer, PMP, Agile/Scrum Master).
• Deep domain experience in Hyperscale Data Center construction, facility retrofits, capital project management, or infrastructure operations.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform ecosystems (e.g., BigQuery, Vertex AI/Gemini endpoints, Pub/Sub) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience utilizing process mapping software (Lucidchart) and enterprise issue/bug tracking systems.
• Strong foundation in change management methodologies and Service Level Objective (SLO) cycle-time optimization.
