We are seeking a Electrical Commissioning Specialist for assignment in Arlington, Virginia. The selected candidate will participate in onsite activities to support data center commissioning projects.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 5:30pm
This position has up to 75% travel
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform all electrical commissioning related activities including testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment and systems start-up
- Meet established design requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Engage in owner's L4-L5 data center commissioning while overseeing and supporting the L0-L3 commissioning activities
- Work directly with clients, project stakeholders and contractors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years experience in electrical commissioning activities such as: utility infrastructure, electrical power and low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components and facility O&M
- 2 - 3 years of focused experience as a electrical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for data center commissioning
- Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements
- An understanding of the construction process
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- US Citizen
- A Commissioning, IR thermography Level 1 or 2, AWS or NFPA 70E certification is highly preferred
