The impact you'll makeAs Lead Data and Cloud Architect within Lam Research's GBIS(Global Business Intelligence Solution) group, you will drive the data architecture and engineering agenda behind our Digital Transformation program for the Customer Support and Service organization. You will own the end-to-end design of the future-state data landscape - data models, pipelines, and integration patterns that unify service, installed-base, field operations, and customer engagement data into trusted, analytics and AI ready data products.
What you'll do- Define and document the target-state data architecture for Customer Support and Service, including source-to-target mappings, canonical data models, integration specifications, and cloud data platform design.
- Author detailed technical specifications and solution designs, then partner with data engineering and development teams to guide implementation through to delivery.
- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data pipelines and integrations across enterprise service systems, translating business requirements into resilient engineering solutions.
- Serve as the technical advisor to application, business, and development teams on analytics design for complex, cross-functional solutions.
- Ensure every solution aligns with the Data COE's principles, architectural standards, governance policies, and long-term data strategy.
- Design advanced Analytics and AI applications using Azure tech stack, MS Fabric, Power BI including ETL processes.
- Collaborate closely with data architecture peers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to sequence the roadmap and resolve design trade-offs.
Who we're looking for- 12+ years of experience in working in modern data engineering/data warehousing/data lakes technologies on cloud platforms like Azure Synapse/MS Fabric, Data Bricks, Snowflake etc.
- Must have 5 years of solid hands-on experience in using Spark and Python technologies and framework for big data processing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing end to end medallion architecture using Databricks or other cloud tools and platforms
- 5+ years of experience with ETL/ELT tools like, FiveTran, Kafka or equivalent, ADF etc for real-time, streaming and batch data ingestion patterns.
- 8+ years of solid SQL experience in cloud native data warehousing tools with data modeling
- Proven experience in schema design and dimensional data modelling
- Solid knowledge of data warehouse best practices, development standards and methodologies in cloud native platforms etc.
- Working knowledge of service and customer platforms such as SAP, MS Dyanmics plus IoT/telemetry data from installed-base equipment.
- Strong experience working with and analyzing large datasets, within the relevant domains of IoT and enterprise data.
- Communication and presentation experience with proven track record of using insights to influence executives and colleagues

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
