MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Analyst to join our Data and AI Practice. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates located in the National Capital Region.

As a Data Analyst, you will support a key Federal customer with robust and repeatable data manipulation, large scale infrastructure for data ingestion, and interactive data visualization for custom client applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for data mining, data preparation, and reporting.
  • Prepares and conducts analyses and studies, needs/gaps assessments.
  • Applies knowledge to determine the accuracy and reasonableness of the data, recommendations, and solutions proposed.
  • Documents and summarizes the results and develops and recommended solutions to the customer's problems.
  • Prepares big data, implements data models developed by others, and provides database support for customer solutions.
  • Serves as a key member of a data science project team, supporting data scientists or other consultants in the performance of assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related other quantitative or mathematical discipline. At least two (2) years of experience applied data science research or big data analytics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related scientific or technical discipline A Master's degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of relevant experience. A PhD may be substituted for experience.
  • Experience with data mining methods, databases, data visualization and machine learning.
  • Ability to travel for initial onboarding and laptop pickup (estimated 1 day)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with analytic techniques such as Anomaly detection, Clustering, and Time-series (e.g., ARIMA), and NLP concepts (including preprocessing, TF-IDF, Named Entity Recognition, and LLMs)
  • Expertise with Qlik and/or other BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based distributed database technologies
  • Strong SQL skills and demonstrated experience with cleaning, management, optimizing performance and processing large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and have current Public Trust or higher clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $104,200.00-$172,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
