Data Analyst I
Job Description:AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. ("AEGIS") has an immediate opening for a
Data Analyst I to work closely with the analytics team and business users to understand system requirements and assist in developing data solutions with our current data and analytics tools. The Data Analyst I will monitor new requests and assist in the triage and oversight of the data lifecycle. The Data Analyst I will work on designing and developing enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions and also work to test these solutions.
Job Requirements:- Experience that effectively demonstrates the following skills and abilities:
- Ability to liaise with source system teams to understand data lineage, resolve data origination issues, weed out and correct process and/or operational issues as well as partner on data initiatives for new source system enhancements.
- Ability to express and organize thoughts, ideas and information in a logical and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
- Interpersonal skills that build and maintain professional relationships with customers and counterparts
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or other data related field.
- Knowledge of relational database & star schema model designs and concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Some exposure to Business Intelligence and Analytics tools and techniques.

Essential Job Functions:- Work closely with the business and the analytics team to understand business requirements and translate them into specifications for building reporting and analytics solutions including visualizations.
- Document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Configures and creates reports, advanced analytics, and dashboards with AEGIS' Pyramid Analytics platform.
- Coordinate and report on work in support and delivery of data and analytics functions in the organization.
- Perform quality assurance testing for reporting and analytics.
- Review work requests and assist in the triage and assessment of work items.
- Identify data issues and work with data specialists to identify the root cause.
- Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources, identifying data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capabilities.
- Develop quality assurance testing methodology/criteria and execute them.
- Provide user support/training in use of Dashboards, BI tools and data marts.

We expect to pay a starting salary between $80,000 and $100,000. An applicant's placement within this range is based on their individual qualifications and professional experience. In addition to base salary, AEGIS employees are eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive program, with competitive awards based on corporate and individual performance.
