JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Data Analyst

Job Status: X2 Permanent Vacancies
Team: Analytics
Reports to: Manager, Analytics
Job Level: 6

I. JOB PURPOSE
Creates reports, dashboards and performs ad-hoc analysis to support the College's strategic commitment to leveraging data and analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops reports, standardized queries, dashboards and performs ad-hoc analysis to support College projects, initiatives, and processes.
  • Coordinates/fulfills data requests and supports relationships with system partners.
  • Supports the work of data scientists in reporting, analyzing and interpreting data; and in the development of data science products.
  • Collaborates with teams at the College to define and/or refine their ad-hoc analysis needs.

III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a highly quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering) or related analytical fields.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience performing data analysis using statistical software (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, SAS) and creating reports and dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).

  • Data Analysis - Collaborates with teams to obtain a deep understanding of data analysis needs; conducts advanced statistical techniques to analyze data and interpret results.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting - Creates clear and compelling visualizations and comprehensive reports using a variety of advanced data tools; uses a variety of advanced data tools that highlight key points, show trends and patterns; reports findings that are relevant and meaningful.


Hiring Range:
$108,073.00 - $114,845.00

Full Salary Range:
$108,073.00 - $129,688.00
