Ignite Digital is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity & Risk Management Framework (RMF) Specialist to support a US Navy / US Marine Corps program office within the New Orleans region. This role requires hands-on cybersecurity engineering expertise, strong knowledge of DoD and DoN security requirements, and validated experience serving independently as a Fully Qualified Navy Validator. The Specialist will ensure that systems meet all cybersecurity and acquisition protection requirements throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Create, revise, and update IT and Cybersecurity standards and policies supporting Navy and Marine Corps programs.
- Review engineering artifacts to ensure compliance with DoW/DoN Cybersecurity requirements, including DoD Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation Guidebook alignment.
- Participate in Program Reviews to verify all cybersecurity requirements are fully met.
- Validate penetration tests and vulnerability assessments using approved DoD tools, including DISA STIGs, Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), and other DoW/DoN assurance tools.
- Validate operating system and network device configurations against DISA-approved STIG and SRG requirements
- Conduct independent Navy Validator activities for multiple Security Authorization Packages under RMF.
- Validate cybersecurity assessments, audits, and risk analysis processes.
- Prepare RMF artifacts, including Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs) for system interfaces and network implementations.
- Provide RMF support consistent with the Navy's RMF Process Guide.
- Participate in FLTCYBERCOM Navy Authorization Official (NAO) RMF-related events.
- Analyze, develop, and update Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Cybersecurity Strategies, and security-related acquisition documents.
- Ensure acquisition documentation includes all required cybersecurity provisions.
- Validate mitigation strategies for DoW information systems.
- Confirm that program cybersecurity products comply with all current DoW/DoN requirements.
- Identify Common Criteria and NIAP-certified technologies applicable to Navy systems.
Required Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree; High School Diploma plus 18 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, computer science, or information technology, including at least 8 years of direct Cybersecurity experience.
- Demonstrated experience with DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes (DoDI 8510.01).
- Possess a DoW-approved Information Assurance Manager Level II (IAM-II) certification such as:
- CISSP
- GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GLSC)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Must be a Fully Qualified Navy Validator, with proven experience serving independently across multiple RMF authorization packages.
- Active DoW Secret Clearance.
- Ability to work onsite in a structured government environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with Navy and Marine Corps program stakeholders.
- Experience supporting fleet, enterprise, or business system cybersecurity requirements is highly desirable.
Salary: $150k+ to align with education and experience.
