Full Job Description
Position Summary:

DT Pro is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to support information systems throughout the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle. This role will focus on cybersecurity compliance, security control assessment, authorization activities, and translating complex security requirements into actionable guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must reside in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia) or Norfolk/Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Ability to support occasional on-site work, approximately one to two days as needed.Responsibilities:
  • Support implementation of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 security controls and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • Manage Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Prepare and maintain cybersecurity authorization packages.
  • Evaluate security controls and support Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts.
  • Support eMASS-related activities throughout the RMF lifecycle.
  • Develop technical cybersecurity assessments and documentation.
  • Partner with ISSOs, ISSMs, engineering, infrastructure, and program management teams to define and coordinate cybersecurity responsibilities.
  • Advise leadership on cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance responsibilities.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in IT, Cyber Security or Cyber Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of DoD Cyber Security experience.
  • Security+ certification or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or federal information systems through the RMF lifecycle.
  • Experience with NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 implementation.
  • Experience with SSP development, continuous monitoring, POA&M management, and authorization package preparation.
  • Experience evaluating security controls and supporting ATO efforts.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with ISSOs, ISSMs, engineering, infrastructure, and program management teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Windows Server experience.
  • Experience supporting IT disaster recovery efforts.


The compensation for this position: $120k-$150k
**The range listed represents the company's good-faith estimate of base compensation for this position at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including incentive-based bonuses or commissions, as applicable.
