Job Description

The primary purpose of the Cyber Range Analyst position is to oversee the development, operation, and maintenance of Cyber Florida's Cyber Range ("ARCS"). The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating training exercises, managing student accounts, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the cyber range environment. Additionally, the Analyst will document processes and procedures, perform quality assurance tasks, and assist with student onboarding to optimize the effectiveness of the Cyber Range in enhancing participants' cybersecurity skills and preparedness.

Responsibilities

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and operation of cyber ranges, including selecting
    appropriate technologies, configuring systems, and ensuring the availability of necessary
    resources.
  • Design and facilitate cybersecurity exercises and simulations to enhance participants' skills and
    preparedness in responding to cyber threats and incidents.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to participants during cyber range exercises,
    troubleshooting issues, and assisting with the interpretation of results.
  • Document processes and procedures for Cyber Florida's Cyber Range ("ARCS") and establish
    and manage student accounts on ARCS Range.
  • Assist with student onboarding and perform quality assurance (QA) tasks on the ARCS Range
    training modules, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of training materials.
  • Prepare the range for live-action team events, ensuring that all systems are operational and
    participants are adequately supported.
  • Assist with the creation of a social media plan for the ARCS Range, promoting awareness and
    engagement among target audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, focused on ARCS Range operation, maintenance, and
    requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field and two years of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing cyber range activities or similar cybersecurity training programs.
  • Strong technical proficiency in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and technologies, with the ability to configure and administer virtualized environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaborative efforts.
