  • Analytical Modeling & Risk Scoring:Develop analytical frameworks, scoring models, and risk formulas that quantify operational risk, mission impact, and compliance readiness.
  • Requirements Translation & Cross-Functional Interface:Partner with Data Engineers to define log ingestion/schema requirements and collaborate with Data Visualization Specialists to conceptualize analytical reporting metrics and wireframe executive views.
  • Ad-Hoc Investigative Analysis:Perform deep-dive statistical analyses and exploratory queries to answer targeted leadership inquiries regarding security anomalies, compliance bottlenecks, or operational readiness.
  • Stakeholder Advisory & Briefings:Translate complex data findings into clear, written risk summaries, briefing decks, and recommendations for ISSMs, system owners, and operational commanders.
  • Continuous Monitoring Support:Conduct ongoing trend and variance analysis on recurring security metrics to support RMF re-authorizations and continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Analytical Translation:Proven ability to synthesize disparate data streams (e.g., operational scan data vs. compliance checklists) into coherent, defensible risk narratives.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Strong collaborative skills to interface effectively with data engineers (defining data schemas) and BI/visualization designers (defining metric logic).
  • Communication & Critical Thinking:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate risk priorities to technical teams and non-technical decision-makers.
