The Role:ThoughtSpot is a Data & AI platform that helps companies turn data into enterprise advantage. We're a Gartner MQ leader with more than 1,000 customers globally and offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, Chicago, London, Bangalore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
ThoughtSpot started by giving humans a better way to ask questions of data. Spotter turned that into an AI analyst that can reason over governed enterprise data. Now, as more of our largest customers standardize on ThoughtSpot Analytics, the next step is making sure that platform doesn't just get deployed - it gets architected to last.
ThoughtSpot Analytics is a self-service BI platform with AI-augmented dashboards, automated insights, and search-driven exploration. Unlike legacy BI tools that force analysts to pre-build every report a business user might someday need, ThoughtSpot Analytics lets anyone search their data directly and get a governed, AI-augmented answer in seconds.
We're looking for the person to be the technical backbone of our most strategic customer relationships - the architect who designs deployments that scale, hold up under real usage, and become load-bearing infrastructure for how our customers make decisions. You'll have direct access to Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Success leadership, plus a matrixed Support and Professional Services team backing your deployments from day one.
Your Goal: [Placeholder - e.g., architect production-grade deployments for X strategic accounts and cut average time-to-value from Y weeks to Z weeks. Share the target number and we'll lock this in.]
What You'll Do:- Own the technical relationship. Be the single architect our most strategic customers trust for how ThoughtSpot Analytics gets modeled, integrated, and scaled inside their environment.
- Design for production, not demos. Build data models, embedding patterns, and governance structures that survive contact with real usage, real data volume, and real security review.
- Get customers live. Take deployments from kickoff to production. When something blocks go-live, you're the one who unblocks it.
- Build the reusable architecture. Turn every hard deployment into a pattern the next customer doesn't have to solve from scratch.
- Be the voice of the customer in Product. Spend time in the data with real users, learn where the platform breaks down at scale, and bring that signal straight back into what we build.
- Build the playbook. Document what works so architecture stops depending on any one person's tribal knowledge.
Who We're Looking For:This is a high-ownership role. You'll have the resources of ThoughtSpot behind you and the freedom to make the technical calls our most important customers depend on.
- You're a hands-on technical architect who's comfortable owning a customer relationship, not just a ticket queue.
- You understand enterprise data - modeling, governance, security, and how BI actually gets embedded into a company's decision-making, not just its dashboards.
- You work for the customer's outcome, not the renewal date. You stand by an account when things are hard, not only when they're easy.
- You communicate early when something's off. No surprises, no excuses - customers hear it from you before they have to ask.
- You can hold your own in a technical conversation with a customer's data or platform team without an SE next to you.
- You move fast and don't wait to be told what to do next; empowerment plus accountability is how you operate by default.
- You've architected complex enterprise deployments before - at ThoughtSpot, another analytics/BI vendor, or a comparable enterprise SaaS product.
- We value what you've built vs your title or years of experience.
