Job Description:

The Customer Excellence Coordinator is responsible for helping Mars Petcare achieve its operating plan by co-developing our go-to-market plans across all functions (sales, marketing, insights, digital, SRM, supply chain) and supporting the execution of those plans for our sales team. They will facilitate the annual Joint Business Planning cycle and support the sales team in selling and executing the resulting plans. This role will have an elevated responsibility in coordinating the deployment and management of sales tools, resources and communications to help drive efficiency and clarity for our teams. The role is also responsible for the go-to market, brand plan priorities, channel pack creation and execution levers on the Iams Brand.

What are we looking for?
  • At least 3 years experience in the CPG industry in a sales or marketing capacity.
  • University degree, preferably in a business discipline.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from start to execution.
  • Experience leading processes, work flows or similar, that involve large number of stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with major Canadian retailers.
  • Ability to travel as required for company and customer meetings.


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Lead critical planning process steps, mainly NPM, Collab Meetings, Major Release, and Ready to Sell.
  • Coordinate and manage critical sales tools, shared sites and toolkit deployment.
  • Manage the circulation of sales bulletins as required, to inform sales of critical updates.
  • Develop tools, resources and communications to support execution of our go-to-market plan.
  • Serve as an internal co-pilot for the Iams Brand.
  • Meet with sales to understand gaps to plan on iams brand and how to bridge the gaps.
  • Develop customized solutions for key customers, including channel-specific items and display.
  • Act as a sales consultant for the marketing team.
  • Help facilitate the annual cross-functional Joint Business Planning process.
  • Create, lead or contribute to special projects.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Planning process involvement with demand, supply, finance.
  • Constant communication with co-pilot accounts (as assigned).
  • Leading voice throughout S&OP+ process (focus on Step 1 and Step 2).
  • Ongoing Brand input and guidance.
  • SRM support and cross-customer context provided.
