Customer Business Manager (CBM)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Customer Business Manager (CBM) to lead and support a portfolio of Regional Grocery customers, driving profitable and sustainable business results across all GPN brands.

This role is responsible for managing a defined group of customers supported primarily through broker partners, ensuring GPN's strategies are effectively developed, sold in, and executed at the shelf. The CBM will build annual business plans, leveraging data-driven insights to drive assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies that deliver against revenue, margin, and EBITDA targets.

Success in this role requires strong commercial leadership, the ability to influence through indirect resources, and disciplined ownership of both strategy development and in-market execution.

What You'll Do
  • Lead regional business development and deliver growth plans across all GPN brands
  • Own all aspects of customer development, including opportunity identification, annual planning, and trade fund management
  • Build and deliver annual business plans, identifying key growth drivers and priorities for each account
  • Identify, prioritize, and activate growth opportunities at the across diverse group of customers
  • Develop and deliver strategic selling presentations grounded in assortment, pricing, promotion, and P&L insights
  • Execute and guide assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies aligned to financial targets
  • Lead customer-facing selling efforts and negotiations, particularly across trade investment and promotional strategy
  • Create compelling category selling stories to drive incremental distribution and activation
  • Own portfolio P&L performance, including trade budget optimization and ROI delivery
  • Manage all TPM activities for assigned customers, including planning, tracking, and communication
  • Accurately forecast sales, trade events, and incremental volume across all brands
  • Lead and guide broker partners to deliver customer, brand, and financial objectives
  • Translate strategy into clear execution direction, ensuring alignment and accountability in market
  • Monitor in-market performance and course-correct as needed to deliver against plan
  • Drive excellence across distribution, shelving, and promotional execution
  • Support brand visibility and customer engagement through key events and in-market activities
  • Partner with Sales Strategy, Category Management, and Trade Development to build aligned, data-driven programs
  • Collaborate with customer service and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and support
  • Contribute to team culture by role modeling company values
  • Work remotely and travel as needed


The Skills You Will Bring To The Team

Where And How You Will WorkThe opportunity will be based remotely with approximately 50% travel requirements. The customer base for this role is spread mainly across the United States' East and Midwest.
