CT TechnologistShift Details
- 4x10-hour shifts
- Monday - Thursday, 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM EST
- On call, callback, and holiday coverage per unit needs
Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
- Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Required Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
- Two (2) years of experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred Qualifications
- Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during the orientation process
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
