Drive the Standard.We're looking for a hands-on CSPD Manager who brings more than technical expertise-you bring a genuine passion for people, leadership, and creating a team that takes pride in what they do. In this role, you'll oversee all sterile processing and distribution functions, from decontamination and sterilization through instrument assembly, case cart accuracy, and timely delivery to the OR and ancillary departments. You'll be an active presence in the department, supporting your team, partnering with other leaders, and helping ensure our standards of quality and patient safety are consistently met.

You'll be responsible for addressing attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and consistency while also recognizing opportunities to coach, develop, and encourage your team. Strong communication, follow-through, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, as you'll work closely with executive leadership and help turn expectations into action.

Essential Job Functions- Lead, coach, and mentor CSPD staff; manage schedules, productivity, and performance.
- Drive process improvement, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure on-time tray delivery, accurate instrument sets, and optimal inventory control.
- Use data to improve outcomes-productivity, quality, and cost management.
- Partner with Administration and SPD leadership to deliver measurable results.
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, reporting, training, and competency validation.
ResponsibilitiesThe Manager will coordinate and monitor all sterile processing and distribution functions such as decontamination, preparation/packaging, sterilization of surgical instruments, and case carts. Responsible for the supervision of all Central Sterile Supply activities, staff scheduling, shift management and the coordination of surgical instruments and supplies to the OR and ancillary departments.
- Monitors, audits, and enhance the quality of the process and products manufactured or rendered to customers by the department
- Identifies & resolved issues in a timely, and client satisfaction is achieved.
- Enforces the appropriate service levels to achieve staff productivity and standardized department policies and procedures are compliant • Utilizes effectively time and manages to complete assignments within the allotted time.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and technical expertise in sterile processing and inventory control principles • Demonstrate skill and effectively manages human relations activities.
- Accurately and consistently follows documentation guidelines in all phases of the process as required by the department and regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge in generating and interpreting statistical, productivity, and quality performance reports and utilizes the data to improve the departments performance.
- Knowledge of managerial principles by consistently utilizing problem analysis, group dynamics and staff skills analysis in an objective manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to maximize resources and is skillful in adjusting resources according to the workload and volume.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Assures departmental standards of operation and policies are in compliance with regulatory and professional agencies, including but not limited to CMS, The Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN & APIC.
- Manages department, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Communicate barriers that will interfere with daily operations to appropriate parties.
- Provide weekly project status reports.
- Work closely with SIPS administrative team to ensure project timelines are on target.
- Facilitates the recruitment and selection of department staff.
- Ensures comprehensive departmental orientation for new staff.
- Coordinates training and competency validation for all.
- Represents SIPS by attending appropriate department and facility meetings.
- Manages budget OT.
- Utilizes HRIS platforms to proactively monitor timekeeping, attendance, and timecard approvals, ensuring accurate records, timely approvals, and prompt follow-up on attendance issues.

RequirementsWhat You Bring- Associate's degree (or 10+ years equivalent experience)
- 7+ years in acute/ambulatory sterile processing; 5+ years in SPD leadership
- Current Sterile Processing Technician certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and presentations
- Ability to work extended hours and perform physical job demands
