Overview

Do you seek a fast paced job that has direct involvement with large scale activity pertaining to submarine construction? Are you ready to troubleshoot breakdowns and provide immediate corrective actions to return critical equipment to service. Applicant would be involved in procuring crucial assets to support productions needs.

Engineer is to be cognizant of the structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment used in lifting and handling with specific responsibility for all overhead, portal and mobile cranes reporting to various locations throughout the shipyard.

Responsibilities to include resolution of technical problems, recommending design changes, vendor liaison and input of procedures and technical support to department repair and test personnel in order to support production operations.

Requires an individual with a strong systems background to initiate and coordinate any studies to improve equipment, operating methods, expand existing hardware utilization and development of any new hardware required.

The individual must be capable of climbing to 150 foot levels above ground and working in all climate conditions.

This position in on-site Monday-Friday with core hours between 6:00AM-4:00PM. Occasional off hour and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science of higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Structural Engineering
  • 0 - 5 years of post graduate Crane Engineering experience

Preferred:
  • 1 years of experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic components
  • Mechanical background plus working experience with cranes
  • Electric Boat crane experience


Skills

  • Capable of making technical presentations and be able to work with shipyard management personnel
