Full Job Description
Lead the oversight, design, governance, and continuous enhancement of Truist's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) data collection and systems management framework in support of the bank's CRA rating objectives. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute concurrent initiatives and ensure standard project management practices are followed. Drive organizational change to streamline data collection and ingestion through automation, strengthen reporting, controls, and processes, and improve statistical efficiency, data integrity, and end-user experience. Perform ongoing analysis of CRA data, systems, and processes to improve data accuracy and operational effectiveness. Provide compliance guidance to management based on analysis and interpretation of CRA requirements, the bank's CRA data and systems, and regulatory change developments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following summarizes the essential functions of this role. Additional duties, both major and minor, may be assigned. Specific responsibilities may change over time based on business needs. 1. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business unit partners and other corporate functions across the organization. 2. Serve as a systems subject matter expert for the bank's CRA technology platform and framework, with a focus on user experience, automation, and integration with reporting. 3. Identify and implement solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen the CRA data governance framework, including development of meaningful reporting and reconciliation of information across multiple systems. 4. Update CRA data collection and systems frameworks, policies, and procedures to address change and ensure regulatory requirements are met. 5. Manage system extract logic and data processing to ensure CRA system updates are completed in a timely manner and source data is successfully loaded into CRA systems for reporting within established SLAs. 6. Partner closely with Enterprise Technology to define requirements for system changes, manage release schedules, and lead user acceptance testing and validation to ensure successful implementation. 7. Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance activities, including ensuring that CRA procedures and job aids align with actual operating practices. 8. Independently manage and execute complex, cross-functional initiatives that enhance data ingestion from source systems, reporting, strengthen compliance, improve system efficiency, support the bank's CRA rating objectives, and mitigate data collection and data integrity risk. 9. Lead and implement significant projects involving upgrades and changes to the CRA data and technology ecosystem to support accurate data collection, reporting, and operational efficiencies through automation, including appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). These projects are intended to advance broad, long-term objectives such as improving process efficiency, reducing workflow redundancies, and mitigating organizational risk. 10. Develop CRA dashboard reporting tools, systems playbooks, and deployment resources to strengthen the technical capabilities of the Data & Technology team, the CRA/CD department, and business unit partners across the enterprise. 11. Provide thought leadership on strategy, prioritization, CRA reporting, and systems-related initiatives, including participation in workstreams, leadership of ad hoc projects, and oversight of data validation and sign-off to ensure integrity and accuracy. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with complex systems, data analysis, and reporting 3. Advanced communication, leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills, along with the ability to organize, direct, and perform complex analytical work in support of the CRA group's overall performance and results. 4. Ability to troubleshoot technical data issues effectively and perform root-cause analysis. 5. Ability to communicate effectively and build consensus across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in information technology, business, or a related field, or comparable experience 2. Understanding of CRA and/or experience with two or more regulations relevant to the assigned business units or function 3. Technology and/or compliance experience in the banking or financial services industry, along with certifications relevant to the area of specialization 4. Understanding of technologies commonly used in the financial services industry The annual base salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
