Responsibilities

Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Director, Construction Project Managementto lead and oversee telecommunications infrastructure projects across the Eastern United States. This role is responsible for providing strategic direction to a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring successful project deliver through disciplined planning, execution, financial oversight and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive telecommunications construction strategy for the East Coast region, aligned with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Maintain full P&L accountability, ensuring disciplined budgeting, resource optimization, and cost control.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks to protect project timelines, quality standards, and client commitments.

Project Deliver & Oversight

  • Direct the full lifecycle of multiple telecommunications construction initiatives, including fiber, HFC, FTTx, and MDU deployments, from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Provide oversight of project schedules, financial performance, subcontractor management, and quality assurance.
  • Partner effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, contractor, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and regulatory adherence across all projects.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing construction management team across the region.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, drive accountability, and support professional growth through coaching and mentorship.
  • Delegate authority appropriately while maintaining executive oversight of key deliverables and outcomes.

Operational Excellence

  • Strengthen and standardize project management practices to improve consistency, scalability, and margin performance.
  • Leverage data and performance metrics to identify efficiency gains, cost reductions, and process improvements.
  • Remain informed on emerging telecommunications construction technologies and delivery models to enhance competitive positioning.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree and/or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing large-scale telecommunications construction projects, with regional or multi-state oversight preferred.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex fiber, HFC, FTTx, or MDU deployments on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and quality standards.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and margin accountability.
  • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, senior leadership, field teams, and external partners effectively.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving capabilities, with data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Proficiency in project management systems, scheduling tools, and construction management software platforms.
