Responsibilities
Benefits
Conduct comprehensive reviews of WSIB claim files to identify cost recovery opportunities.
Analyze entitlement decisions and determine potential avenues for cost relief, cost transfer, appeals, objections, and claim cost mitigation.
Review claim costs, claim reserves, benefit payments, and entitlement determinations for accuracy and compliance with WSIB policy.
Prepare and submit cost recovery, cost relief, and cost transfer requests on behalf of employer clients.
Develop strategic recommendations designed to reduce employer claim costs and long-term financial exposure.
Monitor active claims and proactively identify opportunities to improve employer outcomes.
Liaise directly with WSIB personnel, employer representatives, and other stakeholders regarding claim-related matters.
Prepare detailed file reviews, reports, and recommendations for clients and internal leadership.
Maintain accurate case notes, activity records, and documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service and consistent client outcomes.
A minimum two (2) years of direct experience working within the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
Previous experience in a WSIB claims adjudication or decision-making role such as: Case Manager, Eligibility Adjudicator, Claims Adjudicator, Return-to-Work Specialist, Case Resolution Specialist, or other comparable WSIB claims management positions.
Extensive knowledge of WSIB legislation, policies, operational procedures, and decision-making frameworks.
Proven ability to analyze complex claims, identify cost recovery opportunities, and develop strategic recommendations that improve financial outcomes for employer clients.
Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based reports and recommendations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
A valid driver's license.

Salary Range
The base salary for this position is between $70,000 - 100,000 annually.
The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
