Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000

Actual salaries will be based on candidates qualifications, competencies, experience and geographic location. .

Summary

As Corporate Counsel, the attorney is responsible for supporting MOD & Elite Restaurant Brands legal teams with respect to matters involving supply chain, food law and regulations, intellectual property, real estate, contracts and general corporate matters. This attorney performs job duties consistent within safety, legal, and regulatory requirements as well as Company values, standards, culture and business practices. This attorney will act with the highest level of integrity and business and personal ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise business on supply chain and food law and regulations
  • Responsible for negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial, operational and technology agreements, including vendor contracts, software licensing, supply chain, professional services, content/data and creative services agreements
  • Support, advise on and advance intellectual property matters; maintain IP portfolio
  • Support the real estate department on day-to-day matters and assist with negotiating leases and related real estate instruments
  • Support day-to-day legal matters as they arise and attend to general corporate matters
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ensure that the General Counsel is kept appraised of the existence of pending matters and their status.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a JD degree from an accredited law school
  • 4+ years of substantive corporate or outside counsel experience, ideally in restaurant or customer focused industry
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented legal environment
  • Sound judgment; ability to clearly make reasoned and concise recommendations; ability to cross think and determine who should be kept informed
  • Self-starter with good business judgment, a sense of urgency and high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and work efficiently and independently in a high-volume, results-oriented environment
  • Dependable and can be counted upon to meet deadlines and commitments
  • A positive and upbeat personality who focuses on opportunities rather than obstacles
  • Analytical and detail-oriented


Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
