ResponsibilitiesAn opportunity to join a fast growing, dynamic team at a large global investment bank. As a Corporate and Investment Banking Analyst at Société Générale (SocGen), you will play a crucial role in supporting our TMT banking team in executing financial transactions and advising clients on strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, including credit analysis, valuation analysis, and analysis of competitive positioning, preparing presentations, including client-specific marketing materials and internal client reviews, and assisting in the execution of mergers and acquisitions, debt (loans and bonds) and equity (stock and convertible) capital raising, and other financial advisory services, including ratings advisory, foreign exchange, trade finance, sustainable finance, and project finance.The Analyst will work in a generalist capacity within a team of experienced TMT corporate and investment banking professionals and will have extensive exposure within the bank and with clients. This position is based in our New York headquarters and is typically on-site five days per week.In addition to the usual responsibilities expected of an Analyst, the successful candidate will be expected to:Prepare pitch books and presentations for client meetings, articulating complex financial concepts in a clear and compelling manner;Prepare company profiles and detailed memoranda and presentations describing bank relationships, key client attributes and fee-generative opportunities;Perform industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning;Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support transaction decisions;Assist in the due diligence process, coordinating with various stakeholders to gather necessary information;Collaborate with senior bankers to help develop strategic recommendations for clients;Monitor financial news and developments relevant to the investment banking sector and our clients;Support the execution of transactions by preparing and reviewing documentation and liaising with onboarding, legal, and compliance teams;Participate in client meetings and calls, providing analytical support;Coordinate with internal functions to obtain all required approvals for the execution of transactions. Profile requiredREQUIRED:Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial principles;Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and valuation techniquesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly;Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines;Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment;Curiosity and a desire to improve;Previous work experience in investment banking, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required;FINRA SIE, Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications, if not already obtained, must be obtained within five months of hire.TECHNICAL SKILLS:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:Previous work experience in investment banking, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.EDUCATION:Bachelors degree from a top-tier university (preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance) COMPENSATION:Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
