Job Purpose

Lead procurement execution and supplier project management for major aerospace programs to ensure compliant, cost-effective, high-quality supplier deliverables are achieved in alignment with technical, regulatory, cost, and schedule requirements

Key Accountabilities

  • Program Procurement Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned to aerospace program objectives, cost targets, supplier capability, certification needs, and schedule milestones.
  • Supplier Management, Contracts & Cost Control: Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, market/cost monitoring, and supply continuity actions to protect production objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Program Leadership: Represent Supply Chain within Integrated Project Teams and partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program leadership to resolve procurement and supplier-related challenges.
  • Risk, Compliance & Executive Reporting: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies, and present procurement metrics, forecasts, and risk assessments to senior leadership.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a technical-related discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of eight years of procurement or supply chain experience within the aerospace industry, including demonstrated experience managing complex procurement programs with measurable results.
  • Other Job-Specific Skills: Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, components, supplier ecosystems, negotiation, contract management, project management, procurement systems/tools, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred: PMP, CPIM, or related certification; international procurement/global logistics experience; FAR/DFARS and aerospace regulatory knowledge; ERP/SAP experience; advanced analytical and reporting skills; executive-level communication and stakeholder influence; ability to balance multiple priorities independently and collaboratively; willingness to travel as required.


Decisions Expected

  • Recommend supplier selections, sourcing approaches, and contract terms based on technical, cost, schedule, capacity, and risk considerations.
  • Prioritize and escalate supplier issues that could affect production schedules, certification requirements, or program milestones.
  • Influence supplier recovery plans, cost-control actions, and procurement tradeoffs with cross-functional leadership.


Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with frequent cross-functional interaction in manufacturing, quality, engineering, and program environments. May require supplier-site visits, domestic and international travel, schedule flexibility, and occasional overtime to support program milestones, production recovery, supplier negotiations, and urgent risk mitigation activities. Travel approx 25% time.
