Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesTroubleshoot and OptimizeServe as the first responder for control system issues-diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving downtime quickly and effectively
Continuously improve system reliability and performance through root cause analysis
Test, Maintain, and ImproveEvaluate and maintain existing automation systems, ensuring optimal operation
Modify and enhance controls to improve efficiency, quality, and uptime
Project ImplementationLead controls-related projects from concept through launch
Support new equipment installation, validation, and production integration
Automation & Robotics ExposureWork alongside robotics systems (FANUC, Universal Robots) for basic troubleshooting and light programming adjustments
Support automated material handling systems, including AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), ensuring proper function and integration
Engage with advanced manufacturing technologies as part of ongoing innovation initiatives
Software & Application SupportSupport and interact with in-house applications utilizing C# and VB.NET
Assist with minor updates, troubleshooting, and integration of plant systems
Collaboration & CommunicationPartner closely with process engineering, production, and maintenance teams
Act as a key technical liaison across departments to ensure alignment and efficiency
Training & Knowledge SharingTrain maintenance and operations personnel on control systems and automated equipment
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the plant
External PartnershipsInterface with suppliers, integrators, and contractors to support projects and ongoing operations
Compliance & SafetyEnsure all systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Promote and maintain a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Innovation & Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to modernize systems and implement new technologies
Drive initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and energy efficiency
Leadership & IntegrityLead with professionalism, accountability, and adherence to FORVIA's code of ethics
Your profile and competencies to succeedBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation control systems
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, HMI systems, and control hardware
Exposure to robotics (FANUC, Universal, etc.) and automated systems is a plus
Familiarity with AGVs or automated material handling systems is a plus

Salary Range: USD 75,000 - 110,000
