Full Job Description
myAbode is looking for a Controller to build and lead the financial operations function at the heart of our growing organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance, this role goes beyond traditional accounting - you'll own the end-to-end finance operations infrastructure, from treasury and cash management to internal controls, payroll, and deal processing workflows. You're a hands-on operator who brings both rigour and pragmatism to the table, with a track record of optimizing finance processes across complex, fast-moving environments. At myAbode, you'll have real scope to improve how we operate - and the leadership access to make it happen.

What You'll Build & Own
  • A controls framework that's operational, not just documented
  • A clean, reliable month-end close and reconciliation process
  • AP/AR operations that run smoothly at scale
  • A dynamic rolling forecast that keeps leadership ahead of the curve
  • Finance operations across treasury, procurement, and sales workflows
  • Deal processing workflows that are efficient, controlled, and scalable
  • Treasury and cash management infrastructure
  • Payroll administration in partnership with external providers


Who You Are
  • CPA with 7+ years of progressive experience - including time in a high-growth or early-stage environment where you built, not inherited
  • You've designed controls frameworks and stood up finance operations from scratch
  • You find broken processes and fix them without being asked
  • You're comfortable in ambiguity and make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Technically fluent - you evaluate tools, care about data integrity, and know how systems should work
  • Real estate or proptech experience is a strong asset
  • You translate complexity into clarity - for leadership, for your team, for the business
