Full Job Description
Role Overview

The (Regional) Controller, Business Control is a finance leadership role responsible for owning financial performance and driving business outcomes within a critical region or Tier 1 customer.

This role goes beyond reporting and analysis - it requires a hands-on operator who takes full ownership of financial results, challenges the business, and drives performance across revenue, margin, cost, and working capital.

The Regional Controller operates as the primary finance leader in-region, working directly with business leaders to influence decisions, improve predictability, and ensure strong financial discipline.

While this role does not include formal people management, it requires strong day-to-day leadership of regional finance team members. This role is responsible for setting direction, driving execution, and holding the team accountable for results, operating as the functional leader for Finance within the region.

Culture note: Our finance leaders operate with high ownership, transparency, and accountability. We expect leaders who develop talent, elevate financial rigor, and build a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Performance Delivery
  • Own financial performance for the assigned region or Tier 1 customer, including revenue, margin, cost, inventory, capex investments, and operating expenses
  • Act as the primary financial authority for the business, ensuring decisions drive sustainable and profitable outcomes
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, driving corrective actions across functions
  • Lead performance discussions with business stakeholders, moving beyond reporting to driving results

Regional Leadership & Accountability
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to regional finance team members (e.g., analysts or controllers), ensuring clarity of priorities and high-quality execution
  • Act as the single point of accountability for all regional financial outputs
  • Address regional performance gaps directly by driving clarity, improving execution, and reinforcing accountability - even without formal reporting lines
  • Set and enforce a high standard for financial rigor, discipline, and ownership

Planning, Forecasting & Financial Control
  • Own forecast accuracy across revenue, gross margin, OpEx, and working capital
  • Lead annual planning, monthly forecasting, and performance review processes
  • Drive disciplined variance analysis and ensure proactive follow-through on gaps
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with global Business Control standards

Strategic Customer Financial Leadership (Tier 1 Focus)
  • Serve as finance lead for key customer relationships
  • Partner with sales and operations to influence pricing, deal structures, and commercial decisions
  • Support customer performance reviews and provide financial insight on growth, margin, and efficiency

Governance, Controls & Inventory Management
  • Ensure strong financial control and compliance across the region
  • Oversee consignment inventory, service parts accounting, and reconciliation accuracy
  • Maintain adherence to financial policies and IFRS-aligned practices
  • Support audit processes with accurate documentation and timely issue resolution

Operating in Complex Regional Environments
  • Operate effectively in dynamic and evolving business environments, particularly where processes, data quality, and discipline may vary
  • Establish structure, governance, and performance cadence in less mature or rapidly scaling environments
  • Drive consistency and transparency across regions with varying practices

What Success Looks Like
  • Clear accountability for financial outcomes across the region or customer
  • Strong, visible finance leadership recognized by business stakeholders
  • Improved business performance driven by Finance involvement (not just insight)
  • High-quality, predictable forecasts and disciplined execution
  • Regional finance team operating at a consistently high level of performance
  • Measurable development and capability growth of junior team members
  • Scalable, consistent processes across reporting, forecasting, and controls

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications
