Job DescriptionControl Systems EngineerAs the Control Systems Engineer you will be responsible for managing, coordinating and developing all aspects of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and Distributive Control Systems to ensure the facility is operating in a manner that is safe to human health and the environment.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Maintains process-related systems; modifies software and hardware to improve process capabilities
- Maintains communication between DCS/PLC/TCPIP based systems
- Regularly performs data analysis to better understand process capabilities
- Trains operations and maintenance personnel in relevant components of computer systems
- Sets up, installs and maintains PCs and related software
- Coordinates project activities with government and regulatory agencies
- Maintains ability to be on-call during off hours to support systems as needed
- Maintains the ability to travel to other Arcwood locations up to 10%
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related field (required)
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience working with PC operating systems, PLC, DCS and/or SCADA programming applications (required)
- Preferred Experiences:
- Visual Basic
- Database programming
- PC/Server networking
- Instrumentation and industrial control system design
- ABB Bailey Infi 90
- Allen Bradley PLC
- RCRA and MACT regulations
- TCP/IP networking and NT experience
