JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team and help shape the way we deliver clear, effective procedures to our clients. You’ll collaborate with diverse partners, drive impactful change, and ensure our documentation empowers users to succeed.

As a Procedures Editor in our team, you play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of our procedural content. You will ensure documents are accurate, compliant, and easy to follow, supporting both our clients and internal teams. Your expertise in project management, client relations, and editing will help us deliver best-in-class documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing change requests for procedural document updates.
  • Oversee the annual review process for assigned documents, including scheduling and ownership.
  • Ensure all documents adhere to templates and style guidelines.
  • Apply style standards, convert content to active voice, and use structured formats such as numbered lists and if-then tables.
  • Analyze and recommend changes, document procedures, identify process gaps, and suggest alternative documentation methods.
  • Secure necessary approvals and finalize documents for publication.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and peer reviews within tight deadlines.
  • Complete compliance checklists to ensure adherence to controls.
  • Provide information to support communications about procedural changes.
  • Lead monthly meetings with business partners and Control Managers to discuss trends and key metrics.
  • Manage projects related to procedure implementation and updates, including major rewrites.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procedure writing or editing, with expertise in reformatting detailed documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in financial services and procedure writing/editing.
  • Knowledge of financial services operations and regulatory/compliance environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with external style guides (Chicago Manual of Style, Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, AP Stylebook).
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and time management skills; meticulous attention to detail.
