Full Job Description
This position reports to:
District Sales Manager, California

Your role and responsibilities:

As an Account Manager focused on contractor sales , you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of ABB Electrification products/systems/services within the LA - Orange County areas, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities

While this is a remote position, successful candidates will be located in the Los Angeles / Orange County area.

This role is contributing to the IBC division in the Southern CA region of the California district.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Build and strengthen relationships with electrical contractors while driving sales strategies that expand market share and margin.
  • Promote ABB solutions through technical education, product introductions, and influencing customer specifications to create brand preference.
  • Manage the full sales cycle by identifying opportunities, performing take-offs, developing competitive proposals, and negotiating to close orders.
  • Track pipeline activity and performance in CRM, analyze hit-rate data, and provide market and competitive insights to leadership.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university/college or GED with 3+ years sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling commercial, industrial and residential projects to electrical contractors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products
  • Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually and is bonus eligible.
