Reporting to the Manager, Contract Management (Defence Contracting), the Contract Manager is responsible for the life cycle of post award contracts for the sale and delivery of goods and services between Canadian exporters and foreign government buyers
What you'll be doing - Manages contract lifecycle of export contracts from award through to close. Process includes managing exporter and buyer issues
- Sets up new and changed contracts. Enters transactional information including contract updates, amendments, performance requirements, status, billing information and schedules into financial and contracting management systems
- Provides input on exporter performance for formal review processes
- Provides input to business development on contract structuring based on past practices
- Updates project-specific financials to track progress (both invoice and payments)
- Completes quarterly forecast reporting
- Assists in the preparation of certification requirement documentation, permits and licensing for suppliers and notices to government departments
- Leads meetings with exporters and provides support with senior staff on more complex contracts
What you'll bring to CCC - Completion of a post-secondary education in commerce or business administration
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in contracting and financial management
- Knowledge of contract management practices in a domestic and international context
- Knowledge of client /stakeholder relationship management
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
- Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, regulations, and guidelines
- Knowledge of CCC Policy Suite and related procedures and instructions
- English Essential, bilingual in both official languages is strongly preferred
