Eaton's PCD Power Components Division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader to join the team at the Horseheads, NY location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader defines and drives the strategic direction for operational excellence at the site. This role ensures the effective deployment of Lean and Eaton Business System (EBS) principles, prioritizes high-impact initiatives, and removes roadblocks to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture. When leading CI resources, the role coaches and aligns them to business priorities, ensuring execution of sustainable improvements.

Essential Functions:
  • Drive CI Culture and Strategy: Lead the development and deployment of a continuous improvement culture across HHDS, aligning initiatives with business priorities and High Five metrics. Prioritize and align CI initiatives to short- and long-term business goals (Safety, Quality, OTD, Cost, Productivity, PPM, CONC).


  • Lean Deployment: Drive implementation of Lean and EBS tools (VSM, 5S, TPM, Standard Work, Pull Systems, SUR, BPS) to improve operational performance. Develop and govern the annual Kaizen roadmap, ensures resource alignment, removes roadblocks, and tracks execution vs. plan.


  • Coaching: Coach leadership, engineers, and supervisors on Lean principles to build sustainable CI capability across all levels of the organization.


  • Performance Management and Assessment: Establish and maintain key CI performance metrics and dashboards to monitor progress and drive accountability. Lead CI Council, OpA self-assessment, ECIS self-assessment and the Strategy Deployment Process.


  • Operational Excellence: Partner with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to improve processes, increase throughput, and optimize resource utilization. Drive internal and external benchmarking, collaborating across Eaton sites and functions to implement best practices. Maintain site layouts (AutoCAD) and drive improvements to material and process flow. Ensure CI activities comply with MESH requirements and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / or related industrial technology field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Lean and a demonstrated history of successfully leading and facilitating changes that involve all levels of employees with measurable results.
  • Proficient in core concepts of Value Stream, 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen Techniques, Visual shop floor concepts and other lean tools.
  • Must be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite programs and AutoCAD
