Full Job Description
Job Description: We're looking for our first dedicated finance hire, someone excited to build the accounting and financial operations function from the ground up and shape how we do things rather than inherit someone else's playbook. This role starts hands-on (you'll be in the books yourself early on) and grows with the company, with room to build a team as we scale. You'll set up the systems, controls, and reporting that help us grow responsibly in a regulated space, and you'll be a close partner to the CEO and Board as we navigate runway, capital, and compliance decisions together. It's a high-trust, high-ownership role with a real seat at the table. What You'll Do
Serve as finance partner embedded across the full business workflow, supporting internal and external stakeholders as needed
Own financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting across our business offerings..
Manage full accounting cycle, including month-end close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
Partner with Legal/Compliance on regulatory financial requirements.
Track monthly, quarterly, and annual results, KPIs, and trends, translating them into actionable insights for BU leadership.

Required
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including a senior accounting or controllership role.
Strong technical accounting foundation (US GAAP); CPA strongly preferred.
Experience standing up or significantly scaling a finance function at an early-stage company.
Hands-on comfort - you can run the close yourself, not just manage someone who does.
Working knowledge of customer-fund safeguarding, AML/KYC financial controls, or regulatory capital requirements.
Bonus
Direct experience with CFTC-regulated entities, derivatives/exchanges, online gaming, or digital-asset accounting.
Experience in a regulated financial environment (fintech, brokerage, exchange, gaming, banking, payments, or crypto).
Public-company or audit (Big 4) background.
Experience implementing ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite) and treasury tooling.
