Position Overview:The Compliance Examiner Business Lead is an experienced risk management professional engaged in infrastructure support, planning, scoping, execution, closeout, and issue remediation processes involved in mortgage industry examinations and reviews conducted by the Counterparty Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) department. Our Impact:As an Compliance Examiner Business Lead, you will:
- Support management and/or Counterparty Review Leads in ensuring high-quality, timely completion of all functions associated with CORE pod assigned deliverables and adherence to CORE pod timeline standards related to individual Counterparty examinations.
- Apply a robust monitoring framework to challenge and review risk practices.
- Aggregate and communicate independent, data-driven views of risk with a forward-looking perspective.
- Build influential relationships with business partners, becoming a trusted advisor and stakeholder in risk management activities.
Your Impact:- Serve as the primary point of contact for area of focus related matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between CORE teams and business unit stakeholders.
- Act as the communication link spanning the CORE pod operational structure, facilitating the inflow and outflow of information and supporting coordinated efforts across the pods and teams.
- Assist management in reviewing documentation and providing L1/L2 approval support (i.e., Planning Memo, Section Workpapers, Final Report and Letter, etc.), contributing to the quality and consistency of documentation and supporting overall Counterparty review processes.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, actively participating in risk discussions and supporting effective challenges to drive actionable outcomes.
- Identify process redundancies, propose enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to improve examination workflow across the pod structure.
- Bringing a focus upon internal process re-engineering, with a view to making recommendations and enhancements to existing Risk processes where opportunities arise.
- Champion knowledge sharing, support cross-team initiatives, and maintain a collaborative, transparent work environment.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) and 10+ years of overall relevant experience with 5+ years in operational or compliance risk management, preferred.
- Proven ability to influence at all organizational levels, including executives, and unite teams toward common goals.
- Experience in process design and control assessment.
- Preferred experience in the mortgage market, mortgage lending, or mortgage default.
- Highly driven, results-oriented, and recognized as a "value partner" who proactively builds and leverages relationships internally and externally.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
