Full Job Description
As a Commodity Manager you will have the opportunity to lead the strategy and performance of assigned commodities within our sourcing organization.. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the business by developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize total cost, ensure supply continuity, and support business objectives. As the primary interface between suppliers and engineering, the Commodity Manager plays a critical role in aligning technical requirements with commercial strategy. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.

So, what will you be doing as a Commodity Manager?
  • Own the end-to-end management of assigned commodities, including strategy development, supplier selection, and overall performance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering and suppliers, ensuring technical requirements are clearly understood, sourced effectively, and commercially optimized
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans based on market analysis, cost modeling, and long-term business needs
  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage contracts to achieve best total cost of ownership and mitigate supply risk
  • Execute the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process to drive competitive pricing and optimal supplier selection
  • Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply risks to proactively guide sourcing decisions and influence design direction
  • Drive supplier performance and accountability through metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic relationship development
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and business objectives

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Strategic Sourcing, Commodity/Category Management, Sourcing within a Manufacturing Environment
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Proven ability to own a commodity/category and deliver results across cost, quality, and supply continuity
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams and external suppliers
  • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in cost analysis and market intelligence
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies
