Qualifications

• Strong experience with distributed database systems, preferably CockroachDB
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle Exadata, and Redis
• Good understanding of Kubernetes concepts for containerized database management
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation tasks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage distributed databases like CockroachDB and PostgreSQL
• Administer and optimize enterprise database platforms including Oracle Exadata and Redis
• Manage containerized database deployments using Kubernetes for scheduling, networking, and storage
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform
• Develop Python scripts for automation, integrations, and operational tasks
• Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipelines
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of database systems
• Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Handle enterprise production support incidents and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Implement security compliance and access control policies
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, application, and cloud teams
