Your Role on the Team

The Clinical Trial Manager will serve as the senior scientific leader responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing high-quality clinical research programs across the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI), while strategically guiding industry sponsors, faculty, and research teams, through successful partnerships with the University of California, Irvine (UCI). This individual will bring deep expertise in clinical trial methodology, protocol development, regulatory strategy, and academic-industry collaboration, with working knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in clinical research. The role will lead protocol conception and authorship, support sponsor engagement and feasibility, ensure scientific rigor and operational feasibility, and oversee research program outcomes to drive measurable impact, publication quality, funding growth, and translational value. The Principal Clinical Trial Manager will collaborate closely with investigators, federal regulatory agencies, data science partners, IT and compliance teams, and external sponsors to ensure responsible integration and advanced analytics into SSIHI's clinical research programs, including predictive modeling, digital biomarkers, real-world data, and decision-support applications.

  • PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, data science, health sciences, or related field.


Preferred:
  • Knowledge or experience in integrative and/or functional medicine research
