Role OverviewSodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for the Clinical Nutrition Manager at Barlow Respiratory Hospital.
This facility is an award-winning long-term acute care hospital (LTCH) with a 120-year history of service and a reputation for providing exceptional kindness and compassion in patient care.
Barlow Respiratory Hospital campus is located in a historic natural setting next to Elysian Park and Dodger Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. To serve our patients and staff in locations close to home, we also operate satellite sites at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys and at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier.
What You'll Do- Lead the Clinical Nutrition Department and provide direction for the nutrition care program for patients, residents, and clients in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client while overseeing the department
- Implement and maintains professional and business practices to assure regulatory compliance and to uphold company mission, values, and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement
- Direct the implementation of the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation) in general to specialized clinical practice
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support coordinated, high-quality care

What You Bring- At least 2 years experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with active and a bachelor's degree in nutrition or Dietetics (master's preferred)
- Clinical nutrition leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, supporting interdisciplinary care Knowledge of regulatory standards, policies & procedures preferred
- Experience in menu analysis and quality/compliance oversight
- Proven people leadership skills, including staff supervision and collaboration with foodservice and operational leadership and the desire to learn and grow in this position
Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
