Full Job Description
The Role (16 month Fixed Term)

In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise and judgment to the design of League's platform across various solution areas to ensure that what we build is clinically-grounded and safe for members, and commercially credible for regulators and customers. Solution areas span Providers, AI Agents, Health Engagement, Member Portal, and other products.

You will contribute to initiatives such as clinical safety and governance, agentic capabilities, clinical design, and clinical review.

This role partners closely within Health Solutions, and cross-functionally with Solution Owners, User Research, Product Developers, Client Solutions, and Growth.

Key Responsibilities

Care Pathway Design & Outcomes
  • Design care pathways that drive clinical outcomes. Ground clinical design in high value actions, evidence-based practice, and patient engagement.
  • Evaluate and clinically validate capabilities, care pathways, programs, and content, ensuring they reflect current evidence and standards of care.
  • Offer a clinical point of view on and shape the direction of future solutions to ensure that what League builds can drive clinical outcomes for members/patients and provide value for customers.

Agentic Capabilities
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of rubrics, conduct AI agent evaluations, and produce golden datasets used to govern agentic capabilities.
  • Review and grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics; practice clinical judgment to flag where guidance oversteps scope, is inaccurate, or crosses into unsafe territory.
  • Provide expert feedback on how agent behavior can be improved for clinical safety and overall utility.
  • Partner with the AI evaluation team and freelance clinician SME pool on evals.

Clinical Governance and Regulation
  • Apply clinical governance standards for League's clinically-focused solutions and content.
  • Apply safety and accuracy standards for validating agentic solutions' input and output.
  • Work alongside the compliance and regulatory team to input clinical expertise

Strategy, Maintenance & Customer Delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues on projects where clinical expertise and judgment is required for safety and credibility.
  • Provide ongoing cross-functional support and enablement for customer delivery needs and initiatives where Health Solutions domain expertise is required.
  • Work with Product Marketing, Growth, and Client Solutions to shape the clinical value and outcomes narrative for customer and prospect conversations.

What you bring:
  • Active clinical license required - e.g., Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician (MD/DO), or an equivalent regulated clinical credential.
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical practice and direct patient care; experience in population health, care/case management, managed care, or chronic disease management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality measurement frameworks - CIHI, HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, NCQA accreditation standards.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with how health systems work in various geographic regions - referral and care navigation pathways, and where patients typically get stuck moving between them.
  • Strong aptitude for translating complex medical/clinical information into clear, patient-facing experiences.
  • AI proficiency - demonstrated fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) for day-to-day tasks, research, strategy ideation, creation of assets, etc.
  • Possess a curious and proactive approach to AI - you have demonstrated the initiative to use it in your day-to-day work and stay current as tools evolve.
  • Experience in reviewing clinical content and AI-generated output for clinical accuracy, safety, and appropriate scope.
  • Experience or interest in building/maintaining evaluation rubrics, golden datasets, or QA frameworks for AI-generated content.
  • Fastidious attention to accuracy, with experience vetting sources for credibility.
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional organization.

Attributes
  • Clinical Judgment: Applies sound, evidence-based clinical reasoning to content, governance, and evaluation decisions, and knows when to escalate.
  • Systems Thinking: Sees how content, grounding data, and agent behavior connect, and designs for the platform rather than a single deliverable.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Can work fluently with Solution Owners, User Research, Product Developers, Client Solutions, and Growth.
  • Communication: Clear with stakeholders and internal partners alike; can explain clinical rationale to non-clinical audiences.
  • Organization and Documentation: Builds and uses internal processes to work independently and within a group.
  • Coaching & Feedback: Accepts feedback graciously and participates constructively in reviews.
