Full Job Description
The Role

As a Clinical Engineer Associate, you'll be the person who makes Heidi actually work in the real world. Serving as the technical counterpart to the Applied AI Managers, you'll work to translate customer business needs into agentic solutions helping customers realize what's possible with our platform.

You'll own the full technical lifecycle from first deployment through to a thriving, self-sufficient customer: building custom clinical and operational workflows, debugging production issues, and becoming a trusted technical partner to the clinicians and operational teams you work with.

What you'll do
  • Work directly with clinical and operational stakeholders to design and build custom workflows that fit how care is actually delivered.
  • Be the escalation point for complex agentic issues - diagnosing problems, coordinating with engineering, and closing the loop with the customer.
  • Lead demos, technical discussions, and solution architecture for clinical AI workflows
  • Define what success looks like for each deployed workflow, then build the evaluations that prove it
  • Visit the clinics and hospitals we work with, so you understand the teams we're building for firsthand
  • Own the margin trade-offs on when to build, customise or roll out existing knowledge flows
  • Run the safety audits and recommend constant eval refinements

What you'll bring
  • 3+ years in an implementation engineering, or customer-facing technical role - ideally in SaaS, healthtech, or enterprise software.
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end without a playbook.
  • Sharp communicator - you can explain a complex integration failure to a CTO and a head nurse in the same breath.
  • Experience working embedded with enterprise customers or health systems is a strong plus.

Other Things To Know
  • This role can be based in-office in either New York or San Francisco.
  • You will work directly on North America's most important commercial problems.
  • You will have significant autonomy and ownership from day one.

The Way We Work
  • Live Forever: We build for healthcare's next decade, not next quarter. We set outrageous targets, lead healthcare forward, and follow the evidence, even when it's uncomfortable.
  • Practice Ownership: Everyone here carries the company. We raise the bar on hiring and excellence, own the outcome end-to-end, and focus on what matters over process.
  • Move Fast, Fix Faster: The more we do, the more we learn. We ship atoms daily, learn from every release, and stay precise at pace.
  • Get Better: The best clinicians teach. So do we. We live in clinicians' reality, bring warmth to the work, and choose clarity, not cleverness.

Why You Will Flourish With Us
  • Become an owner, with significant shares (equity) in the company. If Heidi wins, we all win.
  • Healthcare, Dental and Vision benefit options.
  • 401k with 3% match.
  • $100/month Healthy Heidi's budget.
  • $700/year learning and development budget.
  • $500 home office setup budget.
  • Recharge Days after major pushes.
  • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of the world's fastest-growing healthtech companies.
