UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Health Services Manager to lead our General Internal Medicine Center and our Pediatric Care Center.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 100% FTE
  • Day shifts Monday-Friday

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

TheGeneral Internal Medicine Center (GIMC)is a dynamic teaching clinic that provides patient-centered care with the best available medical evidence. The GIMC provides comprehensive services for adult patients, including behavioral health care, chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and primary care services.

Our Pediatric Care Center provides comprehensive primary and specialty care for babies, children, teenagers, and young adults to age 21. Our services include well-child checkups, developmental screenings, acute illness treatment, school and sports evaluations, environmental health consults, pediatric allergy assessments, guidance on behavioral concerns, and hearing and vision screenings.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and oversees day-to-day and strategic clinic operations
  • Manages an estimated 36 employees (clinical and non-clinical)
  • Works in partnership with our providers and Medical Directors
  • Provides daily staffing assignments
  • Develops and assesses employee skills, monitors and manages employee performance, and completes timekeeping responsibilities
  • Acts as an expert resource when staff encounter problems or questions
  • Takes corrective action when employee performance is not acceptable
  • Reviews and manages patient access in the forms of phone service, referral management, and appointment scheduling
  • Plans and implements programs to meet targeted patient volumes
  • Oversees quality assurance and safety standards
  • Works to continually improve the quality of our services
  • Ensures that the clinic operates in a cost-effective manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 years of work experience in a healthcare setting
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and program management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of the clinic
  • Demonstrated knowledge ensuring compliance with billing policies
  • Demonstrated ability in process improvement to optimize clinic flow and operations
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory agency standards

An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$114,000.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$150,000.00 annual
