Full Job Description
THE ROLE

The Onboarding group touches every part of the business at Virtu. The group keeps the wheels moving for Virtu when it comes to bringing in new business and coordinating changes (add/remove/modify) for a customer/counterparty/vendor etc. The team has increased its product footprint and coverage which has led to a growing onboarding queue and responsibilities across the firm. The role will encompass all aspects of project management, technical setup, and coordination of the installation of the software applications. The Implementation Specialist will be the primary focal point for all communication, deadlines, and milestones pertaining to client product implementations. This is a project-based team where each member picks up onboarding requests as they are raised. The team sees anywhere from 5-15 new projects per day globally. The team is also a key stakeholder in strategic initiatives and business development projects that help drive improvements in the areas of sales, business tracking, and overall business management.

Our Global Onboarding team is a highly talented group of versatile employees. To meet our client demand, we are looking for candidates who are motivated to perform at the highest level and share a passion of delivering liquidity and trading solutions in a highly visible role within the organization.

Responsibilities include:
  • Project coordination between Sales, Vendors, and various Technology Teams, and the clients.
  • Track and manage all schedules, deadlines, and dates.
  • Work effectively as part of a global team and build relationships with global FIX teams, Sales, Technology teams, Platforms, and Support.
  • Perform technical setup, test and validate once completed, and coordinate client site installation of the software. In addition, the candidate will manage and communicate updates throughout the process while completing reporting and metrics.
  • Have a business-oriented mindset giving input on areas of process improvement, designing workflows, and driving positive change.
  • Keep up with industry trends and have a basic understanding of equity trading and the parties that interact with each other in the market.

THE CANDIDATE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 0 to 2 years of experience in a trading and trading support environment required.
  • Project Management experience; organizationally savvy, managing deadlines, customers, and schedules which can adapt quickly.
  • Strong client and relationship focus, prior external client facing experience an advantage.
  • High proficiency of clear communication both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated - candidate should be willing to measure their own productivity and be motivated by their own contribution.
  • Ability to build and develop effective relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with MS Office suite. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
