Full Job Description
We are seeking a Client Group Lead, Financial Services in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver or Montreal to drive growth, client success, and market leadership across Avanade's Financial Services portfolio in Canada. This role is accountable for expanding Avanade's footprint across banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management clients by building deep executive relationships and delivering industry-relevant Microsoft-based solutions.

As Client Group Lead, you will own the overall success of the Financial Services Client Group - spanning sales, delivery excellence, talent, and profitability - while partnering closely with Accenture and Microsoft to bring the full power of our ecosystem to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Market Leadership

  • Serve as the executive owner for Financial Services client relationships across the Client Group.
  • Deepen trusted C-suite relationships by understanding client business drivers, regulatory pressures, and transformation agendas.
  • Position Avanade as a strategic partner for large, complex Financial Services organizations.


Business Growth & Sales

  • Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and pipeline quality across the Financial Services portfolio.
  • Grow existing accounts into Most Valued Clients (MVCs) through focused segmentation and account development.
  • Improve sales productivity, win rates, and overall business development effectiveness.


Delivery & Financial Performance

  • Ensure delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and profitable growth across all engagements.
  • Partner with Delivery Leadership to balance quality, margin, and scale.
  • Own Client Group financial performance including revenue, contribution, and investment priorities.


Ecosystem & Capability Building

  • Collaborate with Accenture and Microsoft counterparts to define strategy, resource allocation, and joint market plays.
  • Build Financial Services-specific industry capabilities, advisory offerings, and solution architectures.
  • Bring the full breadth of Avanade's Microsoft platforms and GTM practices to clients.
