Full Job Description
Client Account Manager

Paramount Property Tax Appeal Poway, CA (In-Office)
Full-Time Exempt $80,000-$95,000 + Benefits
THE OPPORTUNITY

When Paramount wins a client's property tax appeal, someone needs to deliver that news well; walk them through the result, explain the invoice, and see the balance through to collection. That's this role. Paramount Property Tax Appeal is looking for Client Account Manager to own that conversation from start to finish. This is not a traditional sales role, and it's not a hard-collections role either. It's a relationship-driven, white-glove position for someone who's equally comfortable delivering good news, explaining a bill, and confidently asking for payment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Proactively reach out to clients after a successful appeal to walk them through their results, invoice, and fee - rather than letting them find out through a cold email
  • Confidently explain billing calculations and payment expectations, and ask directly for payment when it's owed
  • Set clear payment timelines and follow up consistently until balances are resolved
  • Handle billing questions, disputes, and difficult financial conversations while keeping the client experience professional and polished
  • Document every conversation, commitment, and account status accurately in our systems
  • Identify opportunities to re-engage clients for next year's appeal and invite satisfied clients to leave a review
  • Provide guidance to our Collections team on prioritizing accounts that need follow-up or escalation
  • Collaborate with Billing, Operations, and Leadership to keep improving how we handle post-appeal accounts

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with real confidence discussing invoices, balances, and payment directly with clients
  • Comfortable staying professional, persistent, and solutions-oriented through difficult financial conversations
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and follow-through skills
  • Able to manage multiple client accounts and priorities at once
  • Willing and able to work fully in-office in Poway, CA, Monday through Friday

Preferred (Not Required)
  • 3+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, billing, account management, or another client-facing financial role
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Experience serving high-net-worth or executive-level clients
  • Any experience mentoring or guiding teammates
  • Background in property tax, real estate, professional services, legal, or financial services - not required; we'll train you on the property tax side

Benefits
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $80,000-$95,000 base salary, based on experience
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Profit share, available after your first year
  • 10 days PTO per year (accrual basis, starting on your first day)
  • Paid company holidays, plus 5 California-mandated paid sick days
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a fully in-office role based in Poway, CA, with standard Monday-Friday business hours and occasional overtime during peak billing, filing, or collection periods. You'll work closely with our Collections, Operations, Accounting, Valuation, and Leadership teams every day.
OUR VALUES

Right Action - You do what's needed when it's needed - proactive outreach on every account, timely follow-up on every invoice, no waiting to be chased.

Pursuit of Excellence - Good enough isn't enough. You bring the same polish to a routine invoice call as to a difficult one, and you look for better ways to do this job as you go.

Relentless Advocacy - You fight for the client's experience the same way we fight for their tax appeal - making sure they understand what they won and feel taken care of, not just billed.

Radical Transparency - You have the hard money conversations directly and honestly, rather than avoiding them or softening what's actually owed.

Lift as We Climb Together - You work as one team with Collections, Billing, and Operations - sharing context, not creating friction.

Own It - You take responsibility for every account on your desk from first contact through to close, and you follow through on what you tell a client.
