Full Job Description
Pennoni is seeking an experienced professional to lead our Site/Civil teamas a Division Manager and lead our multi-discipline site design projects on a full-time, direct basis in Raleigh/Charlotte. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of private & public site development projects across various markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of engineers and designers
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients; this includes making presentations to clients & municipalities (when necessary).
  • Prepare budgets and proposals
  • Supervise and perform site development & design tasks: plan preparation, grading, permit applications (including NCDOT and Water Management Districts), report writing, etc.
  • Contribute to stormwater management design: Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling, Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) planning, etc.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with RFQ responses.
  • Mentor junior-level staff.
  • Provide quality control of staff design & reports.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
  • Reports to Raleigh Office Director

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
  • Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina
  • Experience managing staff and clients
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, project management software, etc.); expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred!
  • Experience with stormwater management (SWM) design calculations, especially while utilizing H&H modeling tools.
  • Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Proven ability to look at the "Big Picture" as well the project goals in order to coordinate various design disciplines accordingly.
  • Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
