Job Description

Chief Information Officer / VP of Technology - Nexus

About the Role

Nexus is seeking a transformative technology leader to serve as Chief Information Officer / VP of Technology as we establish and grow our Workforce Communities line of business. This is a foundational role - one that carries both the responsibility and the opportunity to define how technology shapes the way people work, connect, and thrive within the communities we serve.

Reporting directly to the Line of Business President and CEO, this executive will partner with senior leadership to set go-to-market strategy, build the technology infrastructure of a new business, and ensure that every technology decision is made with people at the center. This is not a role focused on maintaining systems - it is a mandate to lead with vision, move with purpose, and position Nexus as a forward-thinking technology organization in a growing market.

The ideal candidate brings executive presence and strategic depth alongside a genuine commitment to people enablement - someone who understands that the most impactful technology solutions are the ones that make work more intuitive, more connected, and more meaningful for the people using them. This leader will manage IT personnel, budgets, and projects within the Line of Business, operating within the broader Aramark IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do
• Set the Technology Vision. Develop and drive a cohesive IT strategy aligned to the mission and growth objectives of the Workforce Communities business. Define how technology will shape the experience of our clients and the people they employ - ensuring every solution delivered is purposeful, scalable, and centered on human impact.
• Champion People Enablement. Lead the identification and implementation of technology solutions that meaningfully improve how people work. From workforce tools to digital workflows, prioritize platforms and investments that reduce friction, increase capability, and empower individuals across the communities we serve.
• Partner with the Business. Work in close collaboration with Growth, Operations, and client-facing teams to understand organizational needs and translate them into effective technology solutions. Position technology as a strategic differentiator in how Nexus wins, delivers, and retains business.
• Own the Technology Roadmap. Continuously assess the evolving technology landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. Translate that insight into a dynamic, forward-looking roadmap that evolves alongside the business and the needs of the workforce communities it supports.
• Drive Financial Accountability. Manage IT budgets with rigor and provide clear visibility into the return on technology investments. Advise the business on opportunities to drive operating efficiency through smart, well-governed technology decisions.
• Build and Develop the Team. Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing IT organization. Cultivate a team culture rooted in innovation, accountability, and a shared commitment to delivering technology that genuinely serves people.
• Manage Strategic Relationships. Serve as the senior technology representative for Nexus externally - building trusted relationships with vendors, partners, and clients. Act as a credible advisor to the executive team on all matters of technology strategy and investment.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 10 years of senior executive leadership experience in a multi-billion revenue organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing in a distributed organization.
• Ability to travel at least 30%, including internationally.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop a long-term technology vision and translate it into practical, market-impacting strategy and execution across international markets.
• Decisive, collaborative problem-solver with executive presence and strong influencing skills; builds trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success managing significant transformation and change management, including modernizing legacy environments and enabling innovation at scale.
• Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences; applies technology change pragmatically to improve business processes and performance.
• Comfortable leading in a multicultural, geographically distributed environment with strong awareness of technology and market trends.

This is a distinctive opportunity to build and lead the technology function of a new line of business, with the full support of an established enterprise and the mandate to drive meaningful, lasting impact. We welcome candidates who are motivated by the intersection of technology leadership, human enablement, and strategic growth.
