Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Financial Officer for Springbrook reports directly to the CEO and provides Department Heads and CEO with complete current and accurate financial information. Provides recommendations for internal control and future improvements for all departments. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a minimum of five years experience in a senior financial management position in the health care field, preferably in a hospital setting. In-depth knowledge of computerized financial information systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate up to the Board level, excellent oral and written communication skills, efficient problem solver and confident decision-maker. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Requires an undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Accounting. Advanced degree in business or health care preferred. At least three years intermediary and provider cost audit and reimbursement experience required. LICENSURE: Fellow of the HFMA and or certification by the state board desirable. At least an advance member of the HFMA preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as analytical and leadership abilities and demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment. Knowledge of DRG's and Medicare prospective payment systems.
