Chemical Process Engineer

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will work with a cooperative team that is eager to teach, learn, and understand how to use the best ideas or technology to solve recurring production issues
  • You will lead process improvement efforts within the Specialty Ceramics, Oxides and Carbides production cells of the Advanced Materials business
  • You will have a blend of time spent in the office as well as on the production floor
  • You will support the manufacturing of existing products by providing technical knowhow to improve uptime, increase productivity, and improve consistency on process inputs
  • You will work alongside Production Line Managers to develop systems for performance data tracking, product analysis, and drive improvement towards overall equipment effectiveness
  • In this role, you will support growth projects and provide technical expertise on process and equipment design
  • A large part of your role will involve primary responsibility for managing the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) software systems and understanding domestic and international hazardous goods shipping and communication requirements
