Job Title: Change Management Specialist
Location: Chantilly, VA

Position Summary:
  • Ampcus is seeking a strategic and people-focused Change Management Specialist to lead organizational change initiatives in support of AI adoption and transformation for a leading independent federal agency focused on financial system stability.
  • This role will be instrumental in ensuring successful integration of Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and traditional AI technologies by fostering stakeholder alignment, workforce readiness, and cultural adaptation.
  • The specialist will develop and execute change strategies that promote engagement, minimize disruption, and accelerate value realization from AI investments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Change Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to support AI platform rollout and automation initiatives.
    • Conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations across departments and stakeholder groups.
    • Align change plans with program goals, agency mission, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders across technical, policy, and operational teams.
    • Design and deliver targeted communication plans to build awareness, understanding, and support for AI initiatives.
    • Facilitate feedback loops to surface concerns, gather insights, and inform change tactics.
  • Training & Enablement Support
    • Collaborate with the AI Training Specialist to ensure training programs align with change objectives and user needs.
    • Support the development of role-based adoption plans and learning journeys for GenAI, Agentic AI, and traditional AI tools.
    • Promote AI literacy and responsible use through internal campaigns and engagement activities.
  • Organizational Readiness & Adoption
    • Monitor adoption metrics, user sentiment, and change effectiveness to guide continuous improvement.
    • Develop mitigation strategies for resistance and barriers to change.
    • Support leadership in reinforcing change through coaching, recognition, and policy alignment.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain change management documentation, including stakeholder maps, communication logs, and adoption dashboards.
    • Provide regular updates to program leadership on change progress, risks, and outcomes.
    • Contribute to post-implementation reviews and lessons learned.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Confluence) and change tracking platforms.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:
  • 8 years of experience in change management, organizational development, or transformation programs.
  • Proven experience supporting technology adoption, preferably in AI/ML or digital transformation contexts.
  • Strong experience in workforce development, training design, and user adoption strategies.
  • Strong understanding of change management frameworks.
