Certified Surgical Technologist - Main Operating Room - Evenings

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Occasional weekends, nights, and holidays are required.

Preferred Criteria
  • Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting
  • Experience in cardiac OR cases


Required Criteria
  • Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
  • Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
  • High school diploma or GED

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$44.95-$50.65/Hourly
